This recipe provides a homemade alternative to store-bought pie crust, made with flour, salt, butter, and water. It's designed to create a flaky, delicious crust for your favorite pie.

1: Combine flour and salt. 2: Cut in your butter with a fork. Should have pea-sized bits (about 5 minutes). 3: Add in ice water. Mix until dough roughly comes together. 4: Dump onto counter and roughly knead into a smooth ball. 5: Wrap and place into fridge until 30 minutes before you need it. Allow 30 minutes to warm up so you can roll it out. 6: Cut ball roughly in half. Roll ball into two circles…one for bottom crust and one for top. 7: Place top crust on after filling. Pinch or use a fork to close seams. Brush with egg wash (1 egg and 2 tbsp water). Cut vent holes in center of pie crust. Bake according to desired use. 8: Wave good-bye to Pillsbury’s garbage since you’ll never have to buy theirs again!
