A delicious twist on grilled cheese featuring homemade bread, thin hamburger patties, sautéed onions, and layers of cheese finished with a sweet homemade tomato sauce.

1: Prepare all your ingredients—slice bread, onions, cheese if needed. 2: Heat a pan to medium heat. Lay down a dab of butter and sauté your onions for a minute. 3: Place about 1/4 meatball on top of the onions and smash with your chosen utensil. 4: Cook for a minute or two, then flip over and cook for another minute. Remove and repeat with remaining patties. 5: Lay bread buttered side down. Place a piece of havarti cheese down, then hamburger patty, then cheddar, then havarti, then another slice of bread buttered side up. 6: Flip once golden brown. Cook for another minute or two until golden brown. Remove and repeat with remaining sandwiches. 7: Slice diagonally and serve with tomato sauce/soup.
