Steak Sandwich Grilled Cheese

Savory steak sandwich grilled cheese combines succulent steak strips, caramelized onions and peppers, and layers of Swiss and Gouda cheese, all grilled between slices of sourdough bread.

What you need

clove garlic clove

slice swiss cheese

slice sourdough bread

bunch fresh rosemary

pinch pepper

slice gouda

tbsp butter

cup mayonnaise

tbsp balsamic vinegar

pinch fine sea salt

onion

lb beef steak
Instructions
1. Pat steaks dry and season with flaky sea salt. 2. Heat a pan to medium high heat with olive oil and add onions. Cook until translucent, add balsamic vinegar and salt to taste. Cook until caramelized. 3. Repeat the same process with peppers. 4. Add a thin layer of oil to a pan. Heat to high and add steaks. Cook until seared then flip and repeat on the other side. Remove from pan and repeat for all steaks. 5. After steaks have rested for about ten minutes, slice into thin strips against the grain. 6. Butter one side of your bread. Lay flat on pan. Add Swiss cheese, steak, onions, Gouda cheese, peppers, Swiss cheese, then top slice of bread. Cook until golden brown, then flip and cook other side. 7. Repeat for the remaining sandwiches. 8. Mix up sauce with mayo and remaining basting liquid in pan. Add a touch of Dijon mustard for extra tanginess. 9. Serve, dip, enjoy!
