Learn how to make homemade pizza crusts from scratch, par-bake them, and freeze them for quick and easy pizza pies whenever you want. This recipe helps you avoid expensive, mediocre grocery store pizzas.
.) Combine water and yeast. Give a quick stir and let rest for a few minutes. Add in your oil and half your flour. Mix until roughly combined.
.) Add in your honey, and remaining flour. Mix until roughly combined again, then add in your salt. Once combined, dump out onto your counter and knead until your dough is smooth. Add a tbsp of flour as needed if it’s too sticky. Should still be tacky, but not sticking to your hands or the counter.
.) Place into a greased bowl and let rest until it doubles in size.
.) Once doubled, weigh your dough and divide (or eyeball) into as many pieces as you want…12 = about a 12” pizza…10 = about a 14” pizza
*Preheat oven to 500°F
.) Flour your countertop, then roughly shape your dough into a circle…I like to roll it out into a thin round circle. Pull onto your pizza peel or cutting board and poke holes all over it with a fork.
.) Place into the oven on a pizza pan or baking stone/steel for 4-5 minutes—until the top is dry, but not browning.
.) Repeat until all crusts are done. Allow to cool, then place into bags and freeze until you need them in the future. Simply, remove from freezer, top with sauce, cheese, and toppings, then bake at 425°F until cheese is melts and crust edges are browned.
.) If you want to make any of the pizzas immediately, then you can skip par baking and just toss into the oven once you have your sauce and toppings added.
