This Mac and cheese with butternut squash is creamy and indulgent, making it a favorite among comfort foods. The dish features sautéed butternut squash blended with cheeses, complemented by seasoned steaks and pasta for a hearty meal.
Peel and cube your squash. Heat a pan with olive oil to medium high heat and sauté your butternut squash until softened. Once softened, add 1 cup water and cover. Cook until squash can be easily smashed.
Remove squash to blender and sauté onions in the same pan. Once softened, remove to pan.
Cook steaks however you prefer. Reverse searing is a great (AND EASY) way to lock in flavor and cook them perfectly.
Warm milk in a saucepan. Melt in butter and cream cheese. Once combined, melt in your cheese. Add to blender and blend until smooth.
Add noodles and cheese sauce to a large pan. Stir to combine. Top with more cheese and steak. Place into oven under broiler for a few minutes to melt cheese.
 Serve and enjoy!
