
Chicken and Steak Sandwiches

What you need
cup flour

lb steak

tbsp olive oil

tbsp butter
baby bell peppers
green bell pepper

onion

tbsp balsamic vinegar
tbsp salt

pepper

french bread
cup mayo
clove garlic

tbsp lemon juice

tbsp dijon mustard

fresh mozzarella
Instructions
1: Heat a large pan to medium/high heat. Add 1 tbsp olive oil to pan. Add sliced peppers and onions. Cook until softened, about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar and salt to taste. Cover and let cook for an additional 15 minutes. 2: Once vegetables are softened and dark in color, remove and set aside. 3: Pour flour and 1 tbsp salt in a bowl and dredge chicken pieces until covered. Add 1 tbsp olive oil and 1 tbsp butter to pan. Once melted, add in chicken, sprinkle with salt, and cook 5-7 minutes on each side until dark golden brown. 4: Add remaining tbsp of olive oil and butter to the pan. Add steak and sprinkle with salt. Cook until dark golden brown on both sides. Remove from pan. 5: Add mayo, lemon juice, garlic, and salt to a bowl. Stir to combine. 6: Dice chicken and steak into small pieces. 7: Slice bread and spray cookie sheet with non-stick spray. Place bread on cookie sheet and spread a layer of aioli on top. Cover with chicken and/or steak on each slice. Top with mozzarella cheese. 8: Bake in oven at 375° for 15-20 minutes, until cheese is browned.View original recipe
