This sourdough monkey bread is a nostalgic treat made with simple, delicious ingredients. Ideal for Saturday mornings, it combines fluffy dough balls coated in cinnamon and sugar, baked to perfection and topped with a sweet glaze.
Mix together your water and starter.
Stir in your salt, butter, and sugar (or honey).
Add in your flour and mix together until mostly incorporated.
Turn out onto counter and knead until dough is of uniform consistency.
Place into the oven with the light on, covering the control panel to avoid accidental heating.
Mix your sugar coating together. Cut or pinch off pieces of your dough the size of a ping pong ball.
Toss the dough balls into the sugar mixture, then set into a greased 9x9 baking dish.
Cover tightly and place into the fridge overnight.
In the morning, melt your butter and mix in brown sugar and cinnamon. Pour over top of your dough.
Preheat oven to 400°F. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until browned on the top and center is no longer raw dough.
 Tip upside down and enjoy.
