
30 Second Garlicky Patty Melts

A quick and flavorful patty melt featuring hamburger patties, cheese, caramelized onions, and homemade garlicky mayo sandwiched between sourdough bread slices.

What you need

cup avocado oil
egg

hamburger patties

pinch salt

tbsp lemon juice

dash balsamic vinegar

slice sourdough bread

tsp garlic powder

tbsp butter

slice cheese

Instructions
1. In a wide mouth mason jar, crack in an egg, add Dijon mustard, a pinch of salt, lemon juice, and slowly pour in avocado oil. 2. Using a stick blender placed over top the egg, begin blending. Keep the blender at the bottom of the jar until the oil emulsifies then slowly raise it up the jar to make mayo. 3. Season hamburger patties with garlic powder and salt. Cook to desired doneness. 4. Slice onions into thin strips and add to a pan with olive oil over medium heat. Cook until translucent, then add balsamic vinegar and season with salt. 5. Butter one side of each bread slice, and lay buttered side down on a griddle or pan. Top with mayo, cheese, onions, burger, another slice of cheese, and top with another bread slice. 6. Cook until golden brown, then flip and repeat on the other side. 7. Serve with mayo or a favorite dipping sauce.
