
Sourdough Breadsticks

Delicious homemade sourdough breadsticks with a buttery, flavorful crust, perfect as a snack or a side dish for pasta meals.

What you need
tsp italian seasoning
oz salt

tsp garlic powder
oz flour

oz honey

tsp fine sea salt

oz water

oz sourdough starter

tbsp butter
Instructions
1. Mix all ingredients together by hand or using a stand mixer. 2. Once dough is smooth (5-10 minutes), perform the window pane test to check if the dough is kneaded thoroughly. 3. Place dough into a greased bowl, cover and let rest until doubled in size. This will take about 4 hours in a warm oven or up to 8 hours at room temperature. 4. Once doubled in size, divide dough into 16 pieces. Shape dough chunks into balls, then roll into long strips about 8 inches long. 5. Place onto a cookie sheet and cover. Let rest until they become slightly puffy—about an hour or two. 6. Bake at 400°F for about 20 minutes. While baking, melt your butter and add in seasonings. 7. Brush with seasoned butter mixture as soon as they come out of the oven. 8. Serve with marinara sauce and/or as a side with spaghetti.
